Since everybody is a unique individual, those who are interested in self-insight may want to get their chart done someday by a professional astrologer. The astrologer needs some information (exact place and time of a person's birth); and from there they compute the exact configuration of the planets from the moment one is born. This configuration serves as a kind of 'stamping' on one's personality; so this basically translates to, a person may be more susceptible to particular personality traits due to the formation of the planets, but it isn't a prediction of one's future. As long as someone goes to an astrologer who knows what they are doing, individual birth charts can be wonderful tools of self-insight and examination. It may help us better understand why we are the people that we are.
