for a while ago i sketched an imaginary portrait that i wasn't sure whether it represented a man or a woman!
it looks like my favorite actor: marlon brando.
based on what i've seen and read of (and about) him, i believe he was in touch with both the feminine and the masculine sides of his soul.
having in mind the chaning character of movie industry throughout the 20th century, it seems that the masculinity had the over hand in his earlier films, and the feminine aspect matured by time.
the gradual growth is apparent in the succession of such films as:
the men
wild one
on the waterfront
mutiny on the bounty
reflection in a golden eye
Missouri breaks
Don Giovanni
interesting to note though that his sister and friends in various interviews said that he was a genuinely warm and gentle man, and that's what shines through all of his persona.
